Our home swells with grown children returned home, family gatherings, and a granddaughter who can wipe away your blues with a smile. Easter weekend, I sigh, a time to celebrate our Lord’s resurrection and to enjoy our growing family, with all of the Easter egg hunting, story sharing, and belly laughing.
Because it is Easter Morning
It’s Easter morning and I feel disconnected from myself and from my Savior. Perhaps rushing has taken its toll; there never seems to be enough time to get everything done that I need to do. Call it modern living or just a disorganized creative eclectic, but this is my reality—one that discourages pensive pondering and …
The Treasures of Family
Easter was a wonderful day spent with family and a couple of our close friends. We milled in and outside of my parents’ home, warmed by the sun that danced upon the green Leona Valley hills of my childhood home. I noted the simple, rich moments through the lens of my camera. My brother lifted …
Kingdoms of His Reign
When Jesus walked upon this earth, people tried to make Him their king. This creates a magical combination that cheers family and friends that gather around the table to celebrate. READ THE ENTIRE POST...
I Believe
I am the gentle gardener watering your visions in the night. While editing my creativity book yesterday, I came across this paragraph I wrote several years ago: “I awoke from a dream in which the Lord was counseling me about focus. He explained that the visions He had given me are like flowers in my …
Silenced
The hope of Easter silenced me today. I sought for words to express this strange co-mingling of gratitude and grief lodged in my heart. Yet, only awe of Him who has risen quieted my soul. The years passing by rendered me mute. Today, I needed to be alone...and to weep. He is pure...I am humbled...He is here...I am thankful...and, I am …
